Celebrate Chuseok with the Crossway family at Jamwon Han River Park. Come early to gather, settle in, and enjoy fellowship before our outdoor Sunday service.

FOODSTELLER: Chuseok Food Art Challenge 🍽️🎨

Turn food into art during our Chuseok Picnic! Use the ingredients and colors provided—or bring additional ready-to-use food—to create something imaginative and meaningful. Participate individually or as a team. No artistic experience is needed—just bring your creativity!

Challenge 1: Food Story 📖

Create food art that tells a story or shares a message. Your story may be inspired by Sunday’s sermon, or you may choose any story or message you want to share.

• Participate individually or as a group
• Creation time: 30 minutes
• Presentation time: 2 minutes per participant or team
• Winner: The creation receiving the most audience votes

Challenge 2: Community Food Art 🤝

Work together to recreate a recognizable picture or reference image using food. Choose a clear image that everyone can easily see and understand, then invite as many people as possible to help create it.

• Creation time: 30 minutes
• Winner: The artwork supported by the greatest number of participants

Food and Colors 🥗

• Yellow: Potato salad
• White: Macaroni salad and eggs
• Light brown: Rice
• Orange: Carrots
• Red and orange: Hot Cheetos
• Dark green and black: Seaweed
• Multicolored: Kimbap, vegetables, M&M’s, Skittles, and gummies

You are welcome to bring other ready-to-use ingredients. Please clearly label anything containing common allergens.

Bring your own plating: You are welcome to bring your own plate, tray, platter, or serving board for arranging and presenting your food art.

Participation Notes

• Choose one challenge before the timer begins.
• Food must be the primary material used in each creation.
• Organizers will photograph every finished artwork before voting.
• Each attendee receives one vote for the Food Story Challenge.
• Community Challenge helpers should register with the organizer.
• Please keep ingredients hygienic and help keep the picnic area clean.
