This brief outdoor message connects the surrounding water, wind, and returning tide with Jesus' invitation for the thirsty to come to him and drink. Human beings thirst for recognition, status, significance, and many other things, yet those sources leave them thirsty again. Jesus gives a living source within that remains available even through desert seasons. Spiritual dryness does not mean the Holy Spirit has run out; it signals that attention may have shifted away from the Lord toward sources that cannot give life. Baptism first declares faith in Jesus and can also mark a new season, a breakthrough, or renewed surrender. Wherever believers go, there is one Spirit, one body, and one community. Those who recognize spiritual thirst can simply return to the Lord, receive his daily mercy, and allow his life to flow outward for the refreshment of others.
